dolly dead at 6 year old becaouse when they took the cell from the other sheep which was (2n)..it was in age 6 also as we know the normal sheep live for 12 year or more ..but when that dna taken from 6 years old sheep so she lived for 6 years that total 12 year..i think to solve this problem and to give her chance to live more is to transfer the DNA when the other sheep is more young..THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.

She's not dead. She couldn't hack the fame and publicity so she made a model of herself to fool people, then moved to a secluded island somewhere. Probably near Orkney.

dolly was dead because its DNA had been taken from a mature cell....that's why the process of aging was quicker then usual....

sorry just as an added comment i find it amusing that everyone against cloning has no background knowledge of the issue nor can they even spell correctly. educate yourself before you get mad and stress yourself out.

yes that is correct, except for the part where its not. dollys aging process was not any quicker than that of a regular sheep. she had a lung disease that was getting worse so she was put down. she was the first successful clone (successful meaning she lived past her first few hours-days of life) and the process was not perfect when she was made. she was an experiment, and helped tremendously in the understanding of cloning. dolly is a hero! r.i.p. dolly.
