marburg666! The video was frank enough to say that the Qur'an is not a book of science. However, I have inquired about the original Arabic word of the word "Heaven." I asked a Muslim guy - here on you tube - who goes by the name of "IbnDarwish", whom I found to be very insightful, and he said: "the word heaven/heavens in Arabic is used to denote to planets in the sky, levels of atmosphere surrounding the earth, and the universe."

This is a cop out. You can't simply use the meaning that suits you. In context you can't argue that in one sentence the word refers to the atmosphere and that in the next sentence it refers to the entire universe. Especially when the passage claims 'the heavens closest/nearest the earth'. It's hard to get 'further' from the earth than the stars.

I've also asked "IbnDarwish" about the significance of the number seven in the Arabic language - as to what it really means

- and he replied: "That the Qur'an was revealed in Arabic and in order to understand it more comprehensively, one cannot do it through understanding Arabic only, and without understanding the Arab's logical way of communication...The Arab's used the number seven by way of exaggeration, and they would add a zero to the seven and say seventy to further exaggerate it. The more the zeros next to the seven, the greater would be the exaggeration."

Are you saying that 70 is bigger than 7, or 700 bigger than 70? Seems kinda obvious. Other than that I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. Exaggeration of what? 7 is a special number in many cultures but that doesn't really make much difference to the argument here. If 7 doesn't really mean 7 then how does it refer to layers of the atmosphere?

Anyway, you seem to be very enlightened, I believe that I'm, too. One thing I'll make sure I do is to hear the argument from as many sides I can reach. And I'm confident and certain enough that once I've exerted all of my capacities, I'll be able to see the picture clearly.

Don't be silly, people can read the quran and still disagree with it.
