Mate, its an ART movie!! If you want action, watch Xman or whatever other action movie!
I just expressed my opinion...no need to judge it
Relax cm1406, believe me i wasn't judging or anything, again i am suggesting based on your opinion.
In fact your opinion is fair because this is an artistic movie where you expect the stye to be ambigious storyline, disjointed script etc etc...that's why its part of the originality.
What i am trying to said is if you want movie with less thought intensive, try action or comedy movies such as Xmen or Ben stiller stuff etc, they are easier to grasp, that really is what i meant!
Usually artistic movies do no appear on the cinema screne, because cinema movies are for the majority of the people that do not usually prefer to see a "quality Art" movie. Unfortynately, I am not fun of art movies, cause i get bored easily, eventhough I must admit I am a huuuuuge fun of "Amelie" if u know it. (french movie, one of the best ive seen in my life)
I have seen Amelie, i agreed is a great movie. I think the reason you enjoyed more than this one is because Amelie contained certain COMIC element which this film lack of. Therefore made it more enjoyable to watch.
This movie in my opinion is alittle bit more real life drama that captures onto the big screen. So unless you try to real the emotions and feeling of the actor/actress. It's not going to be easily enjoyable.
Really i do understand what you mean!
U'r right, the movie is a bit of real life drama and that's y the story's progress is slower.
That's why you didn't found it too exciting, neither did i really.
But the things i like about this film is not the storyline or the plot or the script, it is the camera shots taken by the director and secondly how each individual actor/actress express their screen personality onto the final picture.
Their acting certainly was good enough in my 2 cent worth of opinion!
I mentioned it in my first comment that the shots in the beginning where exciting and excellent, and they had definitely caught my attention, that was lost when the slow scenes started (e.g the endless scenes with jude law eating those pies).
