thats the king of all snakes right there. very intelligent snakes too. the way this man handles this snake is unbelievable. KING COBRAS RULE!
|
for the record...it would HYPOTHETICALLY take 3 hours for a full kc bite to kill an elephant. not 15 minutes. one small thing people fail to mention (or know)is that a kc cant bite through the skin of an elephant. period. and NO ONE has ever seen an elephant die from a cobra bite. and if they say they have they are lying. people just use an elephant (its weight) as a refereence to the venom yeild a kc has.

Albert doesn't get bit. He has been handling venomous snakes for 40 years. He is what you would call a PROFESSIONAL.
|
when you get bit - and you will I will laugh - as a snake owner for 30 years - bottem line is - its not if you get bit but when. also remember - an escaped snake is comical an escaped venomus snake is criminal

In fact, the deadliest snake bite, and quickest death on record was by a banded Krait(Bungarus faciatus). They kill humans with a higher percentage due to toxicity, their venom is neurotoxic. However they tend to be shy and docile, so recorded bites are rare.Because of this fact, we do not have an antivenine available for this bite. There was a collector, hunting them for venom research, who was bitten last year and died almost immediately.

I saw the episode

not to sound like an asshole but the fear snake is the most potent snake in the world
|
Part 3
In other words the amount of anti-venom required to tackle a full on KC strike is unequalled.
Finaly, Tapians & Mambas may have the higher venom yield but it is a fact that neither can deliver enough to floor an elephant which a KC can do within an hour (a documented fact) not 15 minutes as stated here which is bull!
The mamba my be considered the worlds most dangerous snake but potentially the KC is the one to fear!
|
Part 2
It is well documented that poeple have died within minutes and infact the fastest recorded human snake death is from a KC bite in India at a mere 3 minutes and no Taipan or Mamba can get close to that.
Its not all about potency its also about volume and people forget that the KC venom is still 50 times more potent than a Rattlesnakeand more or less on a par with other cobra's (so still very potent) yet delivers 10 times more than any other snake except the gaboon viper.

Part 1.
The comments posted against this video seem to be made from uneducated viewers. I have studied Herpology and i am going to set the record straight! Yes from an average KC bite a Mamba or Taipan is more threatening (although the king still has a 75% mortality rate). However a full on bite from a KC and nothing compares. No venom from any sname in existance takes effect faster than a full on King Cobra bite period an in particular that from an Indian King.
