Hi everybody, I am just wondering why many Japanese judoka are continuing to win at international tournaments?
|
For some years I have been in Japan which is still a very beautiful country. Also their life style is amazingly developped. What you read in book or watch on tv about this country is quite different from the reality. I recommend everybody to visit it.
You can obtain something which cannnot be expressed with words.
Shinohara lost but finally won!
|
we european must learn modesty & humility
|
You and your Judo lives in the past, Europe have developed Judo to the better.
|
When you cant fight, run.
When you can fight, thake whats rightfully yours. Japanese men can't fight, so run.
|
Actually Japan once was a good country.. now its "best before" date has expired over 50 years ago. Japanese men still think they are above japanese women, yawn. And for Judo Japan have stoped their development in it, Europe have won with their up to date tactics.
So all Japanese, when winning aint your game, failure must be your style.

Part 3
If somebody really wants to know at least what it is, I suggest him to check the video of Judo tournament in Japan even though , to Occidental people, it may seem boring apparently, however, it there has decisively more deep movement and meaning. Not all things in the world can be distinguished with colors like black and white only...
Finally Shinohara has remained as a real Judoka while Douillet has become only a fighter whose target was winning at any cost.

Part 2
Anyway all these oriental traditional " arts " are not sports but a kind of philosophy. The most tragical thing is that these have been adopted as sports where people just want to make judgement of winner or loser. I am really sorry that Japanese Judo has been modified just as technical sports like a wrestling by IJF in the last 40-50 years. What we see nowadays is not real Judo anymore.

Part 1
Most of Occidental people who learn Judo tend to use only visible attack technique and never understand real meaning of Judo's real mentality (nor that of karate etc...). Do they know the famous phrase " the defence is the best attack" ? "Kaeshi-waza" and "sukashi-waza" represent one of its essential aspects. I think many Occidental people don't know neither these words or their meaning. I really hope that the number of real judoka will increase in the future.
