The complete version of the Johannes Passion is roughly 3 and a half hours. Its rarely seen whole, and if that happens they gotta change the choir since 1 choir cant sing 4 3 and a half hours Bach's hard vocal music. |

| And none of the Kyrie, though of course originally Greek, is or was ever pronounced the Greek way in the context of the Latin mass - it certainly wouldn't have been in early 17th century Spain! Not to mention that the word Christus was completely Latinised in its declension elsewhere in the mass and other texts (e.g. Et in unum Dominum Iesum Christum), and therefore, although it is Greek here, would have been even less likely to be pronounced the Greek way. Nothing to do with English choirs! |
