Great song and even greater performance. It is hard to believe next year will be the 40 year anniversary of Woodstock. I guess John Lennon was right when he said life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. lol The dawn is coming. Peace is possible. ROCK ON!!!!!

LOng time gone-- Stills wrote this song after hearing Bobby Kennedy was murdered. And it has been a long time-- the dawn is not yet here...the bush administration is connected to the nixon nightmare by rumsfeld and cheney and the fascist spying lying war machine. The dawn will win out...Peace.

Speaking of Leary, the whole drug thing was deliberate. It was LSD, grass, cocaine. Now it's Prozac, Haldol or Zoloft. The purpose is the same. Drugged people, especially artists, cab be controlled, manipulated and dragged down. Artists are among the most valuable people in a society, and they don't deserve this. ---O'Ross

Not true at all, LSD and grass lead to free thinking and revolution. Prozac etc. are bad for you, because they suppress emotions and turn you into an apathetic conformist. Without acid, mushrooms, DMT, Salvia, weed etc. We would not have half as much creative art and free thinking. Look up some of Terence mckenna's theories mate.
