the world was a better place when we didn't know the meaning of the word 'ozone'

I once drove one of these a long time ago.
It felt as if I was driving on an oil slick.
It had unbelievably bad, super-sloppy handling.
I can't believe it was used for police cars.

There would be a diffence between a Fury VIP or III and a Fury Police car. The police car would have had a upgraded Police Suspension and handling Package to give it better performance. The Fury VIP or Fury III would have had a softer ride intentionally. That's what Americans liked to drive at the time. It would have been an extemely good ride at the time or advancement over what the rides of cars were like only 10 or 20 years earlier. Much has changed since 1967

dude the car weighs 2 tons + it was never made for mountain twisties + you don't know the incredible power they made = you don't really know enough to comment
|
No, it wasn't made for "twisties" - nor to handle like today's cars. But owning one today - with a 7.1 Litre, I can tell you that nothing you drive today could possibly have as much horsepower and lateral acceleration. Slow from the start? yep.. she's a big heavy bitch.. but punch your foot down on the pedal at 60 and open up that Quad.. and she'll throw you in the back seat, as she LEAPS way past 120 mph..
Old school, sometimes you just have to understand it. My Plymouth rocks!!
