Tecmo NBA Basketball - NES Gameplay

Not as good as Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Super Bowl or Tecmo Baseball, but surely one of the best hoops games for the NES. My favorite basketball game before NBA Jam and NBA Live 95 came out.

OOOHHHH GOD! i bought this game as a child and i cried , i cried cause my dad wouldnt buy another one. it is just sooo bad!!!

It's funny because the team I always balled with was the Clippers. They had Ron Harper, Danny Manning, Gary Grant and KEN FRICKIN' NORMAN coming off the bench, but that team was the SQUAD on this game. They were all fast...which was the key attribute in this game.

I remember this game--the Mavericks used to suck big time in real life, and it showed in this game! How times have changed... ;-D

The thing that set tecmo apart from ALL other sports games of the time was the battery backup that allowed you to save your season and keep realtime statistics. Thats what pre-90's sports games lacked, and once tecmo came out with this game I remember I was itching to throw it in the system!!! Ahh, the days..my friends and I used to play this ALL DAY during bball season, and tecmo super bowl during football season

I remember that I could not hit more than twenty percent from behind the arc in this game. Does any1 know how to hit threes consistently?

man this game is classic. I remember when this game came out it was the shit considering it was one of the first games to have nba players on the game.

91-92 was my favourite season,that´s when i get into nba for real. i´m 28, and i playing this game non stop back in the days.. sorry my english. peace.
