Nokia N95-8GB Loose Slider Fix

Video Title : Nokia N95-8GB Loose Slider Fix
Description : Update 16.02.08 (Read this) Tape used in video is a bit to thick. Be very accurate and careful with the tape piece or else it wont stick to the plastic rail properly. How to fix loose slider on a Nokia N95-8GB, it's a bit different/harder than fixing a regular N95. This is probably the fifth time I do this and this mod seem to be very good. Same smooth slide without the annoying click on the left side of the screen. Cons and pros. +Removes the loose slider on right side. +Easy to do. +Does not require any special tools. -May fracture the guarantee. -It's possible to break something if not careful enough. -It does not remove the very little looseness on the y axis. Enjoy =)

If those rails are the second version and Nokia still manages to make a mess out of it, then jeez. That is weak. Good thing you managed it =)

OK...i kinda fixed it...i took a halfinch piece of paper..and folded it in half....then i slid it down where the music keys at the top...it's REALLY stiffened up my slide...a bit TOO tight ...but it works

i just opened my phone up...and the metal rail says "V2" on it and i dont have torx screws i have mery tiny philips screws...but even if it is version 2 it still wobbles and gives me the feeling that my $600 phone has crap quality....anyone else have the phillips screws and V2 written on their rail...and still have wobbeling problem????????

I dont even got that phone but is a great video if someday I buy one and have to fix it xD congrats

TAKK KOMPIS!! Slideren er smoooth og telefonen fungerer som en drøm!;)

Unfortunately bro, NOKIA does not have have any Nokie Certified Service and Repair in Southern California.

Where do you live? Can I send the phone to you and you fix it for me? :)

I live in Norway so the freight would cost you a lot and I can't even fix it properly, you need new plastic rails to do that. There is bound to be a Nokia service center more or less close to you, at least closer than across North America and the Atlantic ocean. ;)

I thought just use the black tape or something. BTW, the rails on the N95 are plastics?

Yep those culprits are made of something like that and its a really bad idea.
