Basic HTML and CSS Intro

for everyone who does not have dreamweaver, there is a free, great piece of software called Kompozer. Its free guys, and it works great - along with being completely portable. Google it.

why don't they have one language for all programming intead of having htm, html, xhtml, shtml, css, c++ e.t.c.?

Different programming languages are good at different tasks. html, css, xhtml etc, aren't actually programming languages. C++, php, and java, are examples of programming languages. The first group are markup languages, which are kind of like what your Microsoft office does behind the scenes to your file.

man it sucks when you used to use these kinds of programs for high school stuff, and now I completely forgot. Thanks for refreshing the memory.
