i was their. it was my birthday and me and my cousin went down to the front row about 5 minutes before it happened. i looked down in turn 4 just as the car hit the wall and blew up. the car slid passed us on fire and the guys who stand down at the fence said thats why you cant stand right next to the fence.thanks for posting this. i never thought i would see a replay of it but it is exactly how i remember. but i think the video picked up the crash to late so you couldnt see me

no - I think he is still racing in Brazil. Perhaps we will see him back in the IRL one day.

Airton Daré - it was a pretty bad wreck that sidelined him for some time. At the Time he was driving for Foyt. The wreck actually occourned in Turn 4 I just picked it up on the front stretch - but the car was already trashed. As I recall it took almost 20 minutes to cut him out of the car. Hes not currently in the IRL but I understand he is still racing. He is from Brazil and they do plenty of racing down there.
