i dont know why but this reminds me of when me and my brother were drifting down marsh. I was drifting in my 10.1 f250 power stroke and he was drifting in his mustang, with the 5.4 lincoln motor. we werent going to fast drifting but when i raced him up on i-94 my speedo said 197 and his was just blinking at 155. Thats why you need a custom digital speedometer, so you can realy find out how fast you were going.

This reminds me of a time when I raced a Viper up Yarnell Hill. I was driving a REAL Mini Cooper. That huge V 10 could have passed me at any time but he just kept pace. I have never had so much fun. Bumper to bumper and fender to fender all the way to the top.

their is no such thing as a real mini cooper

one time about 30 years ago i had a '68 galaxy 500 with a 428 cobra jet engine.from fountain colorado to pueblo i raced a boss 302 mustang. my speedo only went to 120 and i had no idea how fast i was going.i had left the mustang in the dust and suddenly i blew a head gasket.i pulled over and the mustang showed up in about a minute. his speedo went to 140 and he said his needle was buried when i passed him. good times. i don't know how i survived them.

This song is cool, Anyone who can tell me any other ol artist that has the same kinda sound? Hard to find any NEW music that has the same groove ;>
|
Check out Link Wray. He's kind of like this, but with a Dick Dale twist thrown in. Also, for new music, I've always thought that Vince Gill playing live is more 'rock-a-billy' than most bands that call themselves 'rock-a-billy.' See Danny Gatton as well.
|
Ok Will do. I know of Link Wray, he used to play with Robert Gordon, right?
|
Yeah, he did sometimes. Danny Gatton also played with Gordon--watch the clip of Gordon on SCTV--that's Gatton with him. Enjoy!

My all-time favorite car song, awesome!!!!!
|
Amen to that! Songs were fun back then.
