well i just found out the tacoma is based on the toyota landcruiser prado not the hilux.

tacoma is an american version of the current hilux that is sold on every continent other than north america and antarctica. the drivetrain has been unchanged since the late 70's besides the engine and gearbox.

I heard that in recognition of the boy's work with this trunk, Toyota named one of their newer trucks the 'Invincible'. Hows THAT for publicity?! Ha! This Top Gear movie is my 2nd favorite after the boys' attempt at the Brit Car 24 Hrs.
