Guiding Light February 29, 2008

Video Title : Guiding Light February 29, 2008
Description : A sneak peek at the new format GL is rolling out on 2/29/08. It's not going to look like any other US daily soap opera, so it should be interesting. For those who don't know, GL will be filming all "outdoor" scenes in the real outdoors and is doing away with their old three-wall sets for four-walled sets to give a more real feel. Also, we should be seeing a lot of Springfield, which is actually a yet unnamed New Jersey town. These are two teasers that aired after GL--I apologize for the poor quality of the second clip.

i really think The Bold and the Beautiful is the worst soap on tv its BROOKE RIDGE RIDGE AND BROOKE LIKE A MERRY GO ROUND AND ROUND PATHETIC

i never thought i would be back, but after checking out a few episodes recently, and seeing what they're up to, i can actually see where i might be a regular viewer on this show again. i am just hoping that the writing continues to improve as well. so far so good though!

your name is horrible BTW

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? GH is the worst peice of crap on the market. Not only is it redundant and pointless, its HIGHLY chauvanstic and sexist. I am surprised women even watch that show. It's a disgrace to the good (if not at least decent) writing that it had in the 90's. GH and the rest of the soaps would have benefited from the writers strike with the sh!tty writing they have.

general hospital or guiding light ??

Do everyone really think this new style format could save GL?

the ratings are better already. gl was #6 last week and came close to tying with gh. pretty good considering gl doesn't air in all cbs markets and is shown at different times all over the u.s.

but simple technical adjustments isnt going to change faltering storylines. Remember when GH was the shiznit back in the 90's? they were on covers and in the general media. Now soaps are a joke. No one takes them seriously anymore. Sure they might do better in the soap market, but how long will it be when the major markets decide that have better things to put on the air than soaps?

I agree, the plots don't seem well thought out. I don't know...I'm still peeved that they lost Jerry.

Yeah, ATWT has one they use that is just the title with whatever music rolls out of the previous scene. I'm a huge fan of openings with the characters, but the short ATWT works for me, so might be good for GL to do something similar.
