Wow, it could by my imagination, but after the part where the whispers say: Sarah is having another, i could swear he says: i think abato.

you mentioned that the whispers talking about Sarah were probably talking about Jack's ex-wife. It could be that they're talking to or about Ana-Lucia, cos Christian Shephard, called her Sarah in a season 2 flashback.
