Killer Whales - Forever Young

Video Title : Killer Whales - Forever Young
Description : I finally finished a video completely. :D - This video was going to be only wild orcas but with a combination of lack in footage and the song reminding me so much of Keiko, I put Keiko footage in as well. He's the only captive orca shown. A special thanks to Hy'Shqa, phdtakara, PiccoloVegeta, and OrcaSpirit. NO anti-captivity comments. NONE. -enjoi

Beautiful video, orcas are amazing creatures! Truly wolves of the sea! is this song by The Pretenders?

My fav animal in the world. I am moving from the U.K to Canada to work with these animals and i can't wait!!!

This is one of my favorite songs by the Pretenders. It goes well with the footage of these Orcas. R.I.P. Keiko! Nice work vroomz! Very well created!

best youtube video ive ever seen r.i.p keiko

Beautiful. And perfect music for the clips. I love orcas. I've loved them since I was little. I shocked a science teacher once with a report I did on them because I knew information that most people did not. Like Orcas are dolphins, not whales like people say. And they are not killers!

Oh yes they are. Transient Orca's usually hunt and eat other whales: everything from large baleen whales right down to dolphins and porpoises. Blue Planet shows a segment on the episode titled "Ocean World" where a pod of transient orca's stalk a gray whale mother and its calf and eventually catch up to them. They seperate the two and once they have the calf by itself, they try to drown it. They bite at it, ram into it, and eventually kill it. All they eat is the tongue. Orcas are whale killers.

At least they only kill for food though. We kill them for stuff such as make up.

I know. Our species should've been named "killer" instead of "human".

Amen to that.

And thats the Transients. The residents are the ones that are partial to fish, like the pods that swim offshore of the San Juan Islands in Washington State. But regardless, these whales were given the proper name, because they kill other whales for food. Its also been proven that they engage in this activity to teach younger members of the pod how to hunt. Saw it on National Geographic. They're mostly gentle in captivity, but these dolphins have a naturally vicious side as well when in the wild.
