Not to sound too pretentious here, but the lyrics of this song are outstanding poetry. Combined with the awesome music and the fact that it's about Hank Williams makes it even better.

I listen to this song when I'm driving across the American West with my huntin dog, and i agree the lyrics are brilliant.
