I am 54, very fit and still play an active game of badminton. I still give many younger players a challenging game. I win many shots between the legs and behind the back-trick or not they are impressive-it becomes natural for a few players-it is not desperation shots. I will get back 75% of the attempts and I may only have an opportunity to attempt 1 or 2 in a game.

in the eyes of non-veteran badminton players, they are tricks, ive been playing badminton for 4 years, they arent so impressive to me lol.

Hitting through the legs or around the back is not a tricks by any standard. It's an act of desperation. Most of the times they end up losing the point. I just don't understand why the commentator always refer that as a trick shot !
