Clearly, a Carrera GT. Boxster's don't have that kind of a door on them, and Boxster's don't ride that low to the ground, or go that fast, or sound that good.
I've been to porsche trackmeet days, and I've head just about every porsche out there. You can hear one of these things from a mile away. It's epic!

I'm still not getting this car. I have a friend, name is Bob Pantalamo, who regularly smokes, and I mean smokes people in a Ferrari 308. Its actually the one Tom Selleck drove in Magnum PI, but restored a bit. He took it around the ring lapping Carerras and Veyrons for a time in the high sixes. And the end of the run he said it wasn't hard to do.

it´s def. a cgt - this vid was on the german porsche-hp! there u were able to choose different view, from top of car, left and right side - also you could change between a microfone in under the motorhood an behind the exhaust. sadly they removed it (sry for my bad english)
|
does anyone know how much hp it is possible to get out of a gt by tuning it while leaving it naturally aspirated?
|
Jeeezus!
Are center lock wheels also optional on a boxter? Have you ever seen a boxter (or a CGT for that matter)? Have you looked at the doors or the pannel lines? Just google a picture and compare.
Btw, what you consider an indicator is one of the camera mountings.
And for anyone who thinks this is too slow, the Weissach track is pretty tight with very little run-off areas and it is also winter in this video (i.e. cold asphalt and tyres).
|
that is NOT a carrera GT, a CGT does Not have an indicator behind its front wheel, its meant to be infront of the wheel. Also the wheels are an optional on the boxter so that justifies it( ITS A BOXTER )
|
OMFG, Boxter? :D
Listen to that noise, it's CGT, yes.
|
1:10. look at the lines of the car and the scoop on the door. Don't know how you car possible mistake it for a boxter.
|
It is definitely a CGT (the video provides enough clues to identify it) and it is filmed at Porsche's Weissach test track, where Porsche have their Research and Development Centre. I've been there so I know what it looks like. Driving style looks a bit like Juergen Barth - slowish in with power oversteer out.
The engine seems to sound a bit funny, probably due to where they placed the mic.

I think it is a Boxster because it dosen't have the PCCB's
