B-58 Hustler fly by - Mach 2 cold war bomber

Man, those were the days... Fast jets in buffed aluminum struttin' their stuff for the citizens who paid for them. Yeah, people are right to ask, What happened to America? It's a little scary. Young people have no idea what they missed and what our country used to be like. Try to stage an airshow like that today and it would be besieged by the EPA and war protestors.

I was talking to a former employee who joined the Army.He 's leaving for Iraq for the 3rd time. He is a throw back. He tells me all the time that he and his bros, try to emulate those of us who came before him.He makes me proud of my service. HE makes me think there may yet be hope.The ydon't seem to buy all the media propaganda.

I reckon. We have things that go bang at shows here, but none of them drop out of an aircraft. A napalm demonstration would be good on a cold frosty night.

WOw how times have changed! WHat happened to this country. THose folks were not clamoring for war , just proud of who we were andthat those service men wereso good and dedicated at what they did. What happened to America?

One doesn't clamor for war against an enemy with a thousand hydrogen bombs.

WHile the US was moth balling its military, and making babies: what was the USSR doing?For that matter what was USssr upto while we were trying to end the war to end all wars?The US is not perfect, but it is far better than any other,name another nation that holds itself accountable like we do.

I was being a bit sarcastic. My point was that there was a really good reason not to "clamor": When your enemy is just an ideological opponent who hasn't actually attacked you, and who happens to have a whole pile of nukes with your name on them, being "peace-loving" comes naturally. Many of those same folks WERE clamoring, after Pearl Harbor, and rightly so. Just as we clamored after 9-11. Sometimes you've just gotta do what you gotta do. Your right, it must have been fun for both the crowd and pilots. Do what you want just don't kill yourself or crowd, and DO NOT break the aircraft.

I would guess B-52, KC-135, and C-130 in the US.
