In the end, Speer was just another head of the Nazi party. I can't fathom how Justice Jackson at the Nuremberg Trials let him slip through the cracks.
If Speer didnt live we wouldnt have such valuable insight into the Third Reich as we do now.
Fest's book was awful, Gitty's book was vastly superior.
I read her book that is being discussed here and thought it one of the best insightful books on Speer. Frankly I liked her book better than Fest's book on him. Though Fest was a professional shrink, her humanity is more endearing
