Keep in mind, it's not like Vietnam all soldier in Iraq are volunteer right now if you joint the US Army you have big possibility to go Iraq so if you think that kill people for money it's good i understand why this world it's shit!!! That is history revisionist nonsense. The Byzantine Empire carried on the Roman Empire and civilization in science, art, and law. The west collapsed due to barbarian invasions and became civilized again when they regained their lost knowledge from Constantinople during the 4th Crusade and again in 1453 when it was invaded by muslim jihadists and the byzantines fled to the west.

Ya, the byzantine empire carried Roman ideals of Imperialism and an empire system. You cant denie that around the middle ages, the arab world was far more civilized and educated. The crusades ended up being an important transfer of lost ancient greek idea's of plato and other philiosophers. I am not really crediting them for bringing civilization to the world. they were a very important step at the time toward democracy, and that, I beleive, cant be denied
