June 1994
Fairchild Airforce Base, Washington
Here we see Czar 52, a B-52H assigned to the 325th Bomb Squadron, 92d Bomb Wing, Fairchild Air Force Base, WA, was practicing maneuvers for an upcoming airshow. The aircrew had planned and briefed a profile, through the Wing Commander level, that grossly exceeded aircraft and regulatory limitations.
Upon preparing to land at the end of the practice airshow profile, the crew was required to execute a "go-around" or missed approach because of another aircraft on the runway. At mid-field, Czar 52 began a tight 360 degree left turn around the control tower at only 250 feet altitude above ground level (AGL). Approximately three quarters of the way through the turn, the aircraft banked past 90 degrees, stalled, clipped a power line with the left wing and crashed. There were no survivors out of a crew of four field grade officers.

Its easy to explain.....all it is ia a job. There is a difference in the job DESCRIPTION...but still, just a job. I am not saying a "civilian" is better than a veteran and I am not saying they are lesser than a veteran...just saying that there is nothing that makes a vet better than ANYONE. A little critical thinking never hurt anyone....what is the difference?
YOU CIVILIANS AND THE FAKE AIRLINE PILOT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPEN HERE,its called trim boy's, IF YOU RESEARCH THE BOX DATA IT SHOWS DURING THE ALMOST 90DEGREE TURN THE RUDDER WAS TRIMMED TO MAINTAIN ALT, WHEN THE PILOT ROLLED IN FOR THE CROWD PASS THE RUDDERS WERE NOT RESET RESULTING IN A NOSE DOWN SITUATION WITHOUT ENOUGH AIRSPEED TO RECOVER YES IT WAS LOW BUT ITS AN AIRSHOW,IT WAS PILOT ERROR NOT SO MUCH HOT DOGGING THIS IS THE 15TH TIME A B52 HAS DONE THIS AND WAS THE FIRST CRASH
I would say that it was pilot error because he was hot dogging. Obviously if it was the 15th time a b-52 has done this....there is a reason why that number is is so low. Oh btw...there is no difference between a civilian and a person in the military in the good old USA. We are all equally kickass.
yah explain theres no difference between a civilian and military to a 15 year veteran, and see what response you get,
My dad was an aircraft mechanic at Fairchild and worked on the bombers Holland flew. Holland pushed the planes too hard and brought them back with fuel leaking all over the place and in pretty piss poor shape. He should have never been allowed to fly. Screw the nuke storage. I'm sure they've allowed flying over it before... especially during the airshow.
Pilot was a complete idiot! You should never ever bank like that unless you're well above the ground! BUFFs can take a lot but not when you're doing a slow and low pass like this!
All you suicide theory folks, shut up. I fly large jet airliners. The guy was a hot dog should have been grounded. You can't steep bank a large jet low slow (accelerated stall). B-52s also have spoiler roll control making it worse. Accident due to PIC showing off. PS you don't crash to avoid airspace.

Nah, read the accident report on Wikipedia, the accident report says it was pilot error. The piolt (Bud Holland) was reportedly a bit of a maveric and this was one 'stunt' too many. He'd have to have been a right tosser to commit suicide and take his 3 crew members with him with his family watching! It was just a piss poor piece of flying.
