Description :	For my 50th birthday, I took a ride in the Collings Foundation B-24 Liberator, which is similar to the one flown by my Uncle Walt during the war. The Albuquerque setting was appropriate, because Uncle Walt did much of his B-24 training here at Kirtland AFB.

My grandfather was a right wing gunner on a B-24 in the pacific. You're lucky to be able to hear of your uncle's experiences. What I wouldn't give to have met my grandfather. He didn't make it.

My uncle would definitely sympathize...he lost his co-pilot on a mission over Hamburg in November 1944....anti-aircraft flak.
