This video is an excellent introduction to the different types of SQL Server backups - the full backup, the differential backup and the transaction log backup. EVERY administrator and developer should have a strong understanding of the types of backups in SQL Server 2000. Do you need to watch this video? Answer this question, "Which of the following backup types clear out the online transaction log (truncate the log) - full, differential, and/or transaction log backup?" Did you get the right answer? Oh - you don't know if you got the right answer? Then you're guessing and you should watch this video!
