the ringing you hear is the helicopter, also 30mm is better cause there are alot of buildings near by.

i'm not military but i would guess that they couldn't use a hellfire because of all the buildings in the same area as the target house. and they didn't want to destroy the houses surounding it.

holding the trigger a little longer then prescribed is definitely funny, especially when its 30mm chunks youre tossing.

I would assume its something to do with altitude or speed of the helicopter.

dropping below his min. mission height, probably pre-determined for all flights over a certain city. sometimes its programmed to do it every time they pull trigger.
