why the coach tells alina that she is fat if she is so thin???
|
I used to do rhythmic gymnastics and I loved it but I had to stop because of a back injury. I wish I could still be a part of it. I trained under russian coaches and they were tough, but I'm thankful because they allowed me to excel. I did it competitively but there are classes, especially for children, that are not competitive. I would reccomend it. It makes you more flexible, gives you a workout, and as much as it is mainly an individual sport, you feel like a team member around other gymnasts

i hear you. thanks panicatthediscogirlx & flitmature. i'm still fit at 26, and i don't really want to 'force' my daughter to do what i really want to do, but is it too late for me you think?

I still do gymnastics and it is realy worth the pain, im at levle 10 and when you think that only a handful of people can even dream of doing what you do its just an amazing feel!!!!
hope i helped?

that doesn't happen in regular gymnastics classes. that happens in the really strict pre-professional schools that train future olympians, and i've only heard of this degree of cruelty in russian schools.
besides - if you do happen to stumble upon a bad school, you can easily switch. don't be afraid of a great sport because of this!

ok. well, can anyone (preferably an ex-gymnast) tell me if when they look back, it all seemed worth it? i'd love to know..thanks.

she said that because even 500g in gymnastics makes lots of difference, Alina always got fat easier so she had to be tough with her.
|
besides, that woman telling the girl she's fat is quite fat herself!
