Speaking of looks—Subaru needs to stop stealing Chrysler's ideas and stick instead with their own designers. The front face is not good. It looks like all the other bad designs: too much chromed nonsense, too busy looking. The rest of the car is great.

those scoops are functional!the move air through the intercooler which is on the top of the engine. The air going into the air filter is brought in through a intake through the grille.

Scoops...... don't make me laugh.

Many Subaru cars sold in America are made in America.....

Which is evident in the build quality.

RE: Scoops are just for looks. They do nothing for performance. Actually Subaru's hood scoops ARE for performance. They are indeed fully functionally and actually help the turbo. But you're right in that most other cars use scoops just for looks.

the scoops are mostly for looks. you dont need a snorkel that huge to feed air to the intercooler, but they are still functional.
