New Casper Cartoon Show closing

Yeah, I'd love to see the entire 1963 series remastered in color; I actually have a disk featuring a few of the TV cartoons on it, but the picture quality isn't all that great.

RIP Norma MacMillan, who lent her voice talents to Casper and Sweet Polly Purebread.

I am 56, and I remember Matty's Funday Funnies. One of them would be a Casper cartoon, and thus one of the Harvey Cartoons.

Yeah, I agree. While Casper was never my favorite per se, It's sad Paramount/Viacom's associated with Angelica Pickles SPongebob Rocket Power Eliza Thornberry and the list just goes on. I agree with both of you..(I'm 46)

Bull's-eye, Steve, I'm 46 too. I have teenage nephews and when I look at what they watch, I cannot imagine them having sentimental fondness for ANYTHING when they're in their 40's. "Hey, remember those cynical shows and songs we listened too?" Being robbed of innocence means being robbed of future good memories.

CASPER WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE . . . and still is. I haven't seen this stuff in perhaps 45 years. I am 52 now - born 1955 (USA). Casper had a major, positive impact on my early childhood emotional development. I can remember singing these opening/closing songs. THANKS!

By the way, there are a few casper episodes scattered around YouTube. Just type in New Casper Cartoon show or Casper the Friendly Ghost and you'll find at least 3 or 4.
