Poor robot nice cars

Are people worried that the commercial will inspire real robots to commit suicide? They must think that Roboraptors will overdose on sleeping pills and AIBOs will hang themselves by their leashes.

This commercial had to be yanked after its first appearance during the Super bowl because it was thought to be offensive because it depicted suicide. I didn't even think of it that way until it was brought up in the media. Are we seriously going to get mad at robots for making things more cost and material efficient? Really?

The person who posted this is an idiot. The spot is about GM's 100,000 warranty and how "everyone at GM is taking it seriously" It as nothing to do with Robots replacing people - the robot is a puppet and is taking his job "very very seriously"

i lost my gm job on the line and i'm not offended. i RELATE to that robot lol. come on, that robot can only put in a screw. line workers do way more than put in one screw. um since when do people not work on assembly lines?? have you no concept of what goes into making a vehicle? besides, all the maintenance, breakdowns and upgrading machines sometimes makes machines/robots more expensive and unreliable than people

The commercial was a joke. It had nothing to do with hiring robots over people. It was pulled off the air since suicide interest groups found it offenseive. My response? Lighten up. Its a fake robot for Christ's sake. Learn to have a sense of humor
