Oh, one more thing. If you're on deviantART, I'm uploading a Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast/Phantom of the Opera crossover pic that I've been working on for the past week. I might have it up soon, at the mopst a day or two.

That was very funny! And I agree, the movie wasn't too good, particularly since they miscasted the two most important characters and ruined the Phantom's demormity. Though they did excellent casting everyone else, and the visuals were stunning (I'm always in awe everytime I see the overture part). You know who should play Christine? Jayne Wisener, Johanna from the Sweeney Todd movie. I think with a little training she'd've been perfect. Though she was probably too young at the time...

Hmmm I'll have to look her up, because I purposely didn't want to see Sweeney Todd until it came out on dvd (cheaper) due to a distaste for Sondheim's music. They should have casted someone in their 20s for Christine anyway. Nowhere in the book nor musical does it say she has to be under 18 - and most actresses who play her successfully on stage are in their 20s. Ppl in their 20s are looking so much younger these days anyway. I passed for 16 the other day and I'm 22.

Well she has a very pure and pretty voice that I thought was perfect for the part of Christine. It's a bit soft for an opera singer, but with training I think she'd been able to pull it off if she'd been older at the time. And I've always heard of Christine being 16-20 due to her naivity, but I guess you're right about that. It's too bad they couldn't have Mr. Crawford play the phantom in the movie, then maybe it've been better. As far as I'm concerned, Mr. Crawford is the perfect phantom.
