The Edsel Auctioneer burst out of Leeds in the late Eighties, sporting a fine set of noisy tunes reminiscent of Dinosaur Jr. The Edsel Auctioneer shared a drummer (Chris Cooper) with fellow Leeds group the Pale Saints for the first two singles.

Great band that I discovered through Snub! Saw them live at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford in 1992. All their singles were really fine. Miss that sound :(
love it! edsel auctioneer still one of my favourite bands. ..
yeah - amazing! great band, saw them loads of times in Leeds circa 1989-91
I agree with mccorry109, really nostalgic stuff. This was a superb programme and I also remember Transmission, I think that was Snub's rival prog on Channel 4. Put up some more footage from the show if you have it, Wedding P, Dinosaur, CC Rider, etc.
Thanks a million.
Just watched it again. Fucking brilliant. Reminds me of staying up all night on dodgy mushroom trips, waiting for giro's and watching Transmission. You should upload more stuff, it's your duty. Some Popguns, Pale Saints or King of the Slums. Go on, you know you want to.
king of the slums, yeah man...awesome weird unique outstanding band.....more more more.........
When I searched Edsel Auctioneer I didn't expect to find the exact same video that I must have watched a million times 'round at your house. Too cool (but a bit fucking weird). Can't believe it was seventeen years ago. Hope you're doing alright Jay.
