Yes, 1-Maronites are syriac 2-Greek orthodox big number of them are not pure greeks, but mixed heavily with syriacs, 3-even some muslims are originally syriac.. However, most muslims though in lebanon are either Turks, Egyptians, Persians, Arabs or balkans.. (they are exogeneous) however, ancient identity of lebanon is suryoyo, and we should preserve it, without harming other backgrounds, which makes lebanon multi-ethnical and open society.
