yes u can remove a processor yourself and replace it with a new one as long as it's the same socket and most likely with those specs your comp sucks dude 704MB? most comps today have 1GB+ 2GB is quite common and 1.99Ghz? depends on the CPU
Lol but how i know when a procesor cant get more GB thats why i have 704MB?..and i dont know wheres the processor located on my coputer
it's not your processor that pre determins your max amount of ram unless u mean 32 bit CPU which can "see" 4GB of meh 3.2 GB whatever ram the max amount of ram is determined by how much the mother board can support if u have a standard ATX Case there should be a small fan ontop of the mother board somewhere your CPU is under there
idk wat exactly u mean by sayin motherboard but my computer get 4 card of ram i dont wanna buyt more bc sumtime when i intall them i dont see any-diferences i dont see the different speed that it get it stay the same and in sum coputer same as my i see that the have like 2.50Ghz and 500MB and they run faster than mine why is that?
... u might want to learn more about computers then why is there faster? many things determine actual real time speed more ram just allows u to have more apps opened without heavy lag since the system can acess the ram instead of paging the hard disk there CPU is probably faster depends on model clock speed isn't everything _' take a comp class or read stuff online because honestly your questions are really basic

Well thanx anyway

1GB OF DDR.....damn that's old
It's actually relatively new. One year old. What I'm wondering is since when did Compaq start making HP products.
1GB of DDR is only 1 year old? DDR is the old standard today everyone uses DDR2 and DDR3 unless u mean the actual computer which i have no clue why u replied to me then :P
I thought you meant the computer...sorry :'(
