okay shut up person this video is great steeplchasing is a horrible sport wait it isnt a sport it is abuse!

ok, ok, seeing everyones comments there are really two sides to racing. One, many people in the racing industry really DO love their horses and LOVE the sport. Many owners and trainers DO take great care of their horses and race them cautiously. I, for one, LOVE the sport, but have had good experiences with GOOD people who have horses and race them...

this is awful. I luv the horse racing in the us no jumping. Uk theres jumping thats really hard to run and jump at the same time for horses.

and another thing i have a big 18 hand gelding sweet as can be.. and came in third in a race with a broken cannon bone just because he luved to run so much that the jocky couldn't stop him and yes he is still alive and kikn taday

WOW some of u people r realy dence i own 6 horses total 4 exracers 1 yearling and 1 pinto paint now all my horses still love to run there hearts out and nothing u say will change my lil fillys fucher in the racing bis so and all my exracers after we stop racin them we bring them back home so they can spend the rest of there lives in comfert

I no i may well start a debate here but have you ever ridden a race horse? a steepler or flat racer? I got taken for a job ride by one the other day and you know what, this horse loved to run! i hung on for my dear life. SOME horses do love this, others don't and yeh. Defending on the people you come across in racing there is definately cruelty. It's just unfortunate that some people do still treat horses as machines instead of animals.

that is not horse racing its steeple chasing and steeple chasing and its a lot more dangerous than horse racing horses are made to run and most of them love to run and most race horse are pampered and cared for like the kings they are!!!!! and also most race horses are buried in a secial cemitary were they can live forever in memories

idiots, horses are bred to race the dont have the choices that humans have because they are not humans. and you want to protect these animals ban horse racing and you will be responsible for the slaughter of millions of race horses world wide. educate yourselves. banning something is not the way to protect these animals. leave it to the professionals

That isn't horse racing, it is steeple chasing!!! Horses running in a large circle is not cruel!!! WHY ARE PEOPLE WASTING TIME ABOUT HORSE RACING BEING CRUEL WHEN THERE ARE HORSES BEING KILLED BECAUSE OF WELL NOTHING AND HORSE RACING IS NOW SAFER BECAUSE OF BARBARO WITH SOFTER TRACKS!!! IF YOU WATCHED IT NOW YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T SEE AN INJURY!!!
