Paul Potts sings Nessun Dorma on Oprah Winfrey Show

DERCHA Pavarottti and the rest are years trained opera singers, Paul is just beginning, he had two four years of not singing due to serious illness and acident. Why is it Pavarottis CD collects dust in my collection and Pauls I want to play all the time. His voice explodes into you soul, and Pavarotti is dead, cannot we not make room in the world for living. Paul has just done 71 concerts in a row worldwide, why did Pavarotti cancel so much, was his voice having off days.

I enjoy him more than Pavarotti because he sings well but doesn't overpower the beautiful strings and chorus. It all comes together beautifully.

all the people on here that want to compare ANYONE to Pavarotti needs to step back and look at what you're doing... Pavarotti IS "Opera", and in his prime, he made the second best Tenor look average... saying that, Paul Potts is an amazing singer, and considering the short time that he's been a professional, and also considering the fact that he has an album that has already sold millions, he's still really considered an amateur at this... don't worry, he will get better and better with time.

All he needs now is the beard.

If you think he's good, then look up Pavarotti singing the same song. Paul Pott's has a lovely story, and a nice voice, but he could never cut it with the pros like Pavarotti, Domingo, Callas, etc.

well dude its not about whos the best, its about, how the song is potrait to the listeners - this is why paul is where he is, lots of peeps dig it, so dont come on here and bad mouth him, Paul is a awesome singer. dnt try to compare. that kills the moment

I agree Talent that this is his best performance so far of Nessun Dorma. Very powerful and thrilling! He certainly has come a long way.
