i wish you would tell us how you do that im trying to figure it out.

you need to install the compiz pack (you can find it also in the add-remove apps)and then go to system--preference--additional desktop effects and add all the effects you want (they are all there the ones seen in this video). ah, of course you need to have ubuntu or kubuntu as your OS (or any other similar supported linux distributions)

I would try Ubuntu if you haven't tried that already. It seems to be the most stable one that I've used (not that I've tried them all, of course).
I've had some computers that just wouldn't boot up certain distros (like a friend's computer couldn't boot up Knoppix), and I don't know what causes that, but all I can say is keep trying different distros. If Ubuntu doesn't work, try Fedora. (Also make sure you're not trying to install a 64 bit edition on a 32 bit computer.)

Sabayon looks pretty cool. Does it come with Gnome? It wouldn't be a deal-breaker, I guess KDE is just as good all things considered, but I would like it if it comes with Gnome.
|
yes, GNOME is a choice when you go to select session type.
