Chevette GM - Chevrolet - Commercial TV

Interesting, as it looks more like the USA version of the CHEVY VEGA than what we knew in the USA as a CHEVY CHEVETTE. Perhaps this is based on a VEGA platform?

how come america always seems to get the ugliest models? my friend had a 76 'vette and compared to these foreign models it was ugly as hell.

It's the first model of Chevette. Six months after introduced in Brazilian Market at '73, it went do Germany as the Opel Kadett C. The last version of our Chevette was pretty good, known as "Mini-Monza". It's known as Pontiac Acadian (Canada), Opel Kadett (Europe), Chevy Chevette (All America, except Canada), Isuzu Gemini (Asia) and Holden Gemini (Australasia/ New Zealand)
