Lewis Regional Library, 3095 Mobile Highway which offers great help, E L Lowder Regional Library 2590 Bell Road needs to learn customer service QUICK "THE SERVICE HERE IS THE WORST IN THE CITY"; Coliseum Blvd Branch Library 840 Coliseum Blvd is another branch I have come to love too visit, Rosa L. Parks Avenue Branch Library 1276 Rosa L. Parks Avenue may be a small branch but operates and welcomes everyone better than the alot of the larger branches, and Pintlala Branch Library, 255 Federal Road. True enough patrons with wireless-enabled laptop computers can access the Internet from anywhere in the building please don't attempt to for it may be against some branches man made laws that were made for a certain group of people. Beware of the rules do not ask to visit common sites such as YOUTUBE, MYSPACE,FACEBOOK, or any other popular sites that you may frequent at other major libraries because you will not be allowed to. I personally have been trying to get them to allow a ARTSnCRAFT website on the level of 'cat in the hat' for more than a year now with NO success but yet if you put in the word SEX you can pull up any and everything you don't want to see which sounds kind of backwards doesn't it. For the city to consider itself to be on the move it must mean people moving because of the HEAT inside the old building "MAIN" and trying to get close to one of those big fans blowing out hot air. Not being able to visit common sites I say this sure doesn't help any kids or person that may want to network or even conduct business using these types of sites. When visiting their website: http://www.mccpl.lib.al.us/ I came across this: "This is a huge step forward for the library," said Library Director Jaunita Owes. "More people will be able to access the library's databases and the Internet than ever before." .... Ok now be truthful about it and tell the public it is only called a public library but that doesn't mean the public will be able to visit common sites or even network in comfort because it is HOT as, HELL in the downtown library, and that it is so FIREHOUSE hot that the city fire department left their fans to cool the place off to blow out hot air since it was so blazing hot. The Morgan Library "MAIN" also have a computer lab with eighteen public access computers that are very limited and is the NEW HOT BOX in town, and nine additional workstations in the Reference Department with another BIG firehouse fan blowing out hot air. There are six computers and no fan in the Children's Department. All ten of the Montgomery's public library facilities will soon offer wireless access, but don't ask to plug your laptop up in the sockets that you as a tax payer is paying for because it is not allowed; but it is a public library RIGHT!! LORD KNOWS I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT THE GOOD THINGS WITH THE SYSTEM, SUCH AS THAT FOOL YOU GOT OUT AT BELL ROAD "FROGGIE MAE".... AS THE NEWS WOULD SAY ....
