I love tombstone!!! Everyone on here is saying you can't compair the two... well what about open range?? how would you guys compair this with open range?

Tombstone is one of the best movies ever, of any category.
|
tombstone was a great western as well, but the pace and style makes any comparison to appaloosa difficult. you can love both movies and whatever pace you like better will be your fave.

this was an outstanding movie. it was a (not to be trite) man's movie. If it was constant shoot out, it would have turned the movie to trash. This gave you a glimpse into the past, You were transported to a time when a man's word meant something. The friendship and respect was overpowering, and lacking in todays emasculated society. Take you time and watch it again. The acting and script is subtle, real and moving.. The characters are credible. It was a good place to go for 108 minutes.

Does anyone know what the music is from 1.20? i have heard it on a couple of trailers? x
|
The song is called "House of Cards" by Automachine, ale yes, you probably heard this in "Pride and Glory's" trailer.
|
They used it for Changeling aswell, good music for a trailer.
|
is it better than YUMA someone plz tell me!!
|
i felt it was much better than Yuma, IMO.
i liked yuma, but appaloosa seemed much more dramatic to me and the characters were so much easier to relate to and feel for.

APOLOOSA was FANTASTIC!! I consider myself a pretty good authority on Westerns. I have read many, many Louis Lamour novels and short stories and I studied film as a major in college.
Ed Harris and Viggo were aces in a movie that has been long in coming. Sure I love Tombstone..but they are two different kinds of movies. Four thumbs up!!
