Volga-Dnepr Antonov An 124-100

This plane landed in Bermuda today from somewhere in Africa.

Because most jets around this size take off at 160-180 mph (sorry I don't know kph), and as a matter of visual perception it looks slower than a Cessna at 170 mph.

Its amazing.

Several years ago, one of these big beautiful girls landed at Trenton Airport, near Toronto Canada with Don Dnepr Livery, and it rolled off the tarmac and got stuck in the mud! It took the Canadian authorities about two weeks to figure out how to get it back on the runway! LOL.

Some this planes war chartered by U.S. at russian transport company "Volga-Dnepr" for delivery cargoes to Afganistan. But since october U.S. begin use C-5 Galaxy planes...

I have been working on a new hotel next to the airport in Philly and have been checkin out a AN-124 sitting by the overseas terminal. Wacthed it take off the other day. Very cool!

Nice video. I was landing in Philadelphia KPHL last Thursday 13-Sep-2007 and spotted one taxing for departure. Interesting and rare to see.
