Video Title : Christopher Plummer's film debut in "Stage Struck"- VII of 7
Description : "Shakespeare had a miserable home life. So did Anne Hathaway". SWEET FAREWELL SCENE AND SWEET KISS! This is a selection of the scenes performed by Christopher Plummer in his first film, "Stage Struck" (U.S.A., 1958, directed by Sidney Lumet). Based on the play "Morning Glory" by Zoë Akins, "Stage Struck" is the story of Vermont girl Eva Lovelace (Susan Strasberg), newly arrived in New York City and determined to become a great stage actress. In New York Eva meets producer Lewis Easton (Henry Fonda), actor Robert Harley Hedges (Herbert Marshall), and playwright Joe Sheridan (Christopher Plummer). Easton is producing Sheridan's new play, which stars famous and temperamental stage actress Rita Vernon (Joan Greenwood). When Rita Vernon walks out of the play, Eva is assigned to replace her.

This is an amazing film that I wish that dglekjofg would post the entire film Thanks peace

I love him in this movie. Who'd ever choose Henry Fonda?!

Nobody who is mentally healthy, indeed! I myself have wondered about it many times. And this is not even the only film in which Chris plays a man discarded by a woman in favour of another one (among the films I know, the same thing happens in Hanover Street, Somewhere in Time, Inside Daisy Clover).
