there's a bit of leeway when it comes to having both feet off the ground. as long as it isn't too obvious, it's alright and usually wont' get called by the ump.

this is completly illegal...she's crohopping!!! yu push off you dont"leap and drag" yah, you have a drag but thats after you push of and your front foot lands..and you should be pushing of the heigth of your body.

Take a look at one of Jenny Finch's pitches in slow motion, she does the same thing, what's the big deal once your older the UMP's don't call it anyway....

Part 1: I ump NFHS ASA state and national tournaments each year. It is unfortunate that she uses the term "Leap and Drag." In NFHS and ASA, leaping is defined as both feet in the air simultaneously and is ILLEGAL. Both rule books require the pivot foot to push off and drag away from the pitching rubber. However, a hole invariably develops in front of the pitching rubber after a few pitches and the rule book allows a pivot foot not to drag if it would have dragged had there been no hole.
