They have to because the aerodynamics is a big thing. If you have a sleeker more aerodynamic car, it's more fuel efficient. Now if you are a car engineer, you would have know that. Since you're not I don't know why you're judging.

people have alot to say, some r stupid but more get the big picture, the vehicle is great but i agree about it looking like shit, honda is usualy more sliqe and sick wrather than that, smal sacrafice for living on

Exactly. The only car that looks amazing is the Tesla Roadster. This is mainly because it is nothing more than a modified Lotus 240R. Lotus manufactures the frame and body and Tesla Motors install the drive system. If they were to take a modern day production car and modify it, I think the public would be more comfortable buying such a car, and the demand would skyrocket. This car would look so out of place on the road right now that I think it would hinder demand and, in turn, its release.
