What I have a slight problem with is that this is a car which I personally have driven over 230 km/hour in. I know how fast it is (not tomentione well balanced) and how fast it accelerates. No way in hell that the van would even begin to compete with it on an open road.

My thoughts exactly. However I guess that's why they gave them a chance to catch up, sorta.
