CIRCUS BAND CONCERT

Ya can't beat the Walking Frog for a circus tune, but it's gotta be kept together!

Whitmarsh's uniform reminds me of the (For kids concerts only band)like the Marquette Mi or Negaunee Mi city band.

Most of the big circus "shows" today are not circus- they are ABOUT circus, odd imitations of circus, even parodies of circus. For American circus you need a tent, bleachers, a live band, and traditional acts. A midway with a sideshow. Sawdust. When you clean up the circus its not the circus any more.

How wonderful to hear the old circus tunes again, too bad they are gone from today's tent shows. They set the whole pulse of the show. Wonderful job! Keep Windjammin' and thanks for posting this.

Time travel stuff, this is so authentic it's scary. This is what you would have most likely gotten on "circus day" from one of the small circuses that criss-crossed the US and S America from 1880 to as late as 1927! This gentleman and his band are a resource.
