Joni was not born in Calgary, Alberta. She was born in Fort Macleod, Alberta. I believe she lived in Calgary as a toddler, and she definitely went to art school there, but she was not born in Calgary.

joni mitchell is one of the great writers in popular music. Joni is also a gifted painter.i think she has a permanent exhibition in her hometown of Saskatoon. JONI was born in CALGARY.and yes THE Clintons named CHELSEA after this song.

When Bill Clinton addressed the Canadian Parliament years ago, he said his daughter Chelsea was named after this song. Story goes, both he and Hillary were somewhere, in England, I think, and "Chelsea Morning" came over the speakers, sung by Judy Collins, and they said, if they ever had a daughter, they would name her Chelsea.

So, Chelsea Clinton was definitely named after this song, not the place in England. Nor the place in New York. However, the song itself WAS inspired by the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, where Joni once lived.

i guess, but she did write "both sides now" by favorite ballad of hers before she turned 25!!!!! her later works (after 1985) kinds stink! but i still love her!!!! especially doing jazz standards i love too she was such a talent! on my list of people to see live before they die, with tina, tony, and aretha, fleetwood mac, donna, earth wind fire, carole k, carly s, heart, and stevie wonder. most others i like are dead
