I dont agree. I think the whole point of agincourt was that the French tried to charge through a muddy field into the well defended English ranks. The Long bow can't pierce plate armor, but it can surely kill the horses from underneath the knights assuring a deficient inicial assault from the french who then tried to retreat and regroup, but then the other french ranks were advancing too and that created confusion that slowed down the french vanguard and the longbowmen just kept fiering at them.
But even then the french were able to meet the english army in the prolonged melee we see represented here. groups after groups of ragged french knights and soldiers fought the English men at arms and eventualy the English longbowmen joined the melee and the French were all but beaten by this time. A dark day for the French and a wonderfull strategic achievement for the English.
This is completly inacurate. The whole point of agincore was that there were only a few hundred of the english and thousands upon thousands of the french. The english won because of the long bow. NOT the close quarters stuff that they show. In fact the french never got anywhere near, because of the english secret weapon. The armour pearcing long bow.
i fart in your general direction....ha de haw
The Normans were of a nother tribe from the Franks, which were the early French. The Normans were Scandorvian, the Franks were not. Like the Flemish people, they settled in France but were not French. Most likely though that most were part French, I beleive Henry V himself was part French.
In 1066, the normans were culturally, and by DNA more french like me, man...
"Battle of La Brossinière" (1423)
1400 english killed for only...one French !!!
what do you call a million men with their hands in the air?
the french army :)
"they were French by DNA, because the small group of original vikings intermarried with the French"
All he's said, thank you.
I will end up to believe that Englishmen got a passion for tall blond boys...
I guess you have some homosexual fantasies, why bring something like that up?, you a closest gay?, not very suprised tbh you are French...
