sadly...we have indeed morphed into an instant gratification (by Pill) society. Terrific reflection on certain treatment applications...great video (food) for thought.

I also have GERD and take Nexium since nothing else works for me but Natalie is a nutritionist and her goal is to make us healthier and try to limit our use of conventional medicine. Surely proton pump inhibitors such as Nexium are extremely effective but many people with GERD have crappy diets that highly contribute to their symptoms.

i have GERD... or had, more appropriately. in my late 20's, was already up to 80 mg protonix (a TON, not sure what the nexium equivalent is) and realized the dose kept escalating and this was not a sustainable long-term solution. i now drink aloe vera juice, cut back on the spicy stuff, onions/cabbage and other difficult to digest foods, and eat a diet essentially free of refined carbs. after an admittedly difficult time weaning off the drugs, i now suffer no acid reflux symptoms whatseover.

Dead on! Sadly, there are going to be lots of ignorant people spitting out defensive remarks at this girl. Its pathetic & sad. Our society is RUN AND CONTROLLED by ads. Deny it all you want but chances are there's an ad in your view right now. There's one on this page, related to your search or the video you're viewing.
